Appearances

I make regular appearances at conventions, festivals and faires as a vendor, but I also give presentations on the history, motifs & themes, and creation of tsumami kanzashi.

My presentations are roughly 45 minutes long and include a short powerpoint, question and answer period, demonstration of tsumami craft, and an interactive portion where people can try on pieces from my kanzashi collection – pieces made both by myself and purchased from kanzashi artisans and shops in Kyoto. I usually bring a mirror and an instax camera so people can get a polaroid of themselves with kanzashi if they wish. I also do a small door prize/random draw that all who attend the presentation can enter.
