This brooch was inspired by the mori girl Japanese fashion aesthetic, and features a large chrysanthemum with petals dyed in a blended, watercolor-like technique, as well as a cute vintage copper lucite apple charm and cream lace. It has a locking pin back to ensure it stays securely fastened.

Each petal is an individually folded square of hand dyed silk that has been starched, folded and glued into place.
