So, the last two weeks I’ve been posting about my tsumami kanzashi boxes. This week I finally finished up the last two boxes.
My favorite box has got to be this heart shaped one; I’m a sucker for heart shaped things. I think what I like best about this box is that even though there’s loads of flowers on it, you can still tell for sure that it’s heart shaped.
The last of the set is this square shaped box, which I used a little silver toned art nouveau frame on, along with the flowers, silk ribbon, glitter wire, pearls, rhinestones, and bead caps. I’ve got loads of these frames that I’ve kind of squirreled away over the years, and it feels really good to put it to use. I still haven’t figured out what to write in the middle of the frame, I’ll have to think on that a bit more – or if I give it as a gift I’ll leave it up to the recipient.
Which box is your favorite?
Anyhoo, that is all for this week. Next week I’ll be working on a new project – probably finishing up a paper doll set that’s been on the back burner for a while. Check back next week for more art!
