I know haven’t updated in a while, but I am happy to share that I will be presenting several of my tsumami zaiku pieces on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Bessborough in downtown Saskatoon. My work is going to be featured in the Jack Millikin Centre & Wiebe Works Wearable Art Show and Gala. This gala is part of the Saskatchewan Fashion Weekend, put together by the Saskatchewan Fashion Association – which I am a member of, haha.

If you’re interested in attending, you can get tickets here. I encourage you to purchase soon as seating is limited!

This weekend long event is going to include two shows – the Wearable Art and Runway shows – as well as workshops, and a Marketplace where you can purchase locally made fashion. It’s the first time my work has been presented in a runway-style show, and I am thrilled to bits that I get to take part in this event! Choosing models and making styling decisions were all new experiences for me, and I can’t wait to see it all come together on the cat walk.

My participation in this event, and the two new pieces that I created for it, were made possible by a generous grant from SK Arts – which supports artists throughout Saskatchewan in promoting and developing their artistic practices.

I’ll be posting a full report, and pictures of my new works, after they have debuted on the cat walk. 🙂 Hope to see you there!
